Kyler Murray Shows Support for Texas Community with Donation to Child Who Lost Family in Mass Shooting

Kyler Murray, the Arizona Cardinals quarterback, attended Allen High School in Allen, Texas, where a mass shooting took place on Saturday that killed eight people, including several children. Murray expressed his dismay about the incident on social media, offering his help to those affected by the tragedy and asking, “When is this sh– gonna stop?”

One of the victims was a 6-year-old boy named William Cho, who lost both parents and his 3-year-old brother in the shooting. The family had gone to the outlets simply to exchange some items that William had received for his recent birthday. Murray was made aware of a GoFundMe campaign in the young boy’s name by David Hogg, who survived the 2018 mass shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Florida that killed 18 people.

Murray decided to do his part by donating $15,000 to William as he recovers, and he is also looking to do more to help the community. While this cannot bring back the loved ones who were lost during the senseless mass shooting, it can make a difference in the lives of those affected.

People have come together to donate $1.6 million in William’s name as of Tuesday night, demonstrating the power of a community to come together and help in times of need.

For Murray, this tragedy hits close to home, as Allen, Texas is his hometown and a tight-knit community with a population of over 106,000.
