Kanpur: GSVM Medical College Students Outbreak of Acute Necrotizing Encephalitis (ANE). An outbreak of acute necrotizing encephalitis (ANE) in Kanpur. 30 medical students of GSVM Medical College have been affected by this disease. All of them are suffering from high-grade fever. Acute Necrotizing Encephalitis has been confirmed in seven of them.

According to official sources, a student from Baraban was admitted to LLR Hospital earlier this week with a high fever and severe headache. The first case was registered when she was admitted to the ICU with a fever. On Tuesday, she was diagnosed with ANE. Officials of the medical college said that the patient had slipped into a coma and was on life support. Blood samples were collected from another 69 students on Tuesday and Wednesday.

The collected samples have been sent to King George Medical University in Lucknow. More than 20 pigs died in the medical college campus within four days. These spread fevers. Currently, our student is unconscious. On Wednesday, the doctors tested the students of the boys and girls hostel and found that six more had symptoms of ANE.
Two students are studying in the third year and one in the final year. Students suffering from fever and headache is more than 30 and special teams are monitoring them. In view of the current situation, the management of the medical college has canceled the terminal examinations. Meanwhile, a team of doctors including Dr. Yashwantrao, Dr. Anand Narayana Singh visited the campus. They found 16 dead pigs. All of them were buried in the campus itself.

Dr. Ganesh Shankar, the spokesperson of the medical college, said that the spread of the disease on campus could be due to the pigs and the condition of the candidates who caused them. An MRI scan showed a blood clot in the brain.
