After Wonder Woman 3’s cancellation, Gal Gadot’s next major franchise appearance is rumored to be in line

Among the many behind-the-scenes changes in the DC Universe, Warner Bros. announced earlier this month that Patty Jenkins’ Wonder Woman 3 had been canceled, with the late hiring of new leadership. With that, Gal Gadot’s time as Diana Prince may be over.

With Gadot suddenly freed from superhero duties, the actress is rumored to have her next major franchise appearance lined up. A new report has surfaced that could re-align Gal Gadot with the Fast and Furious franchise for Fast X ahead of its 2023 release.

We’re taking this rumor with a grain of salt right now, given that it’s from a direct and not a credible commercial, but hey, we wouldn’t put up with Fast X’s massive cast and Gal Gadot wanting to bring the actress back to the franchise.

The cancellation of Wonder Woman 3 came as a major shock. Gal Gadot debuted as Gisele Yasher in 2009’s Fast & Furious, the fourth film in the franchise. This will be Gadot’s first film and the actress will return for 2011’s Fast Five and 2013’s Fast & Furious 6.

During the sixth installment, Giselle died, sacrificing herself to save Sung Kong’s Han’s life. A mega-action franchise. Previously, Sung Kang showed his interest in bringing Gisele back from the dead for another Fast and Furious movie.

Gal Gadot was asked about the possibility of her returning in 2020, and she said it’s “not” on her to-do list. Again, this may remain purely a rumor, but it’s definitely worth talking about ”. If Gal Gadot returns for Fast X, she may also share the screen with her Justice League co-star Jason Momoa, who is slated to play the upcoming film’s villain.

Additionally, she joins the likes of Vin Diesel, Michelle Rodriguez, Charlize Theron, John Cena, Jason Statham, Helen Mirren, and Brie Larson to name a few. By that team alone, we imagine tons of actors would be happy to join that set.

Fast X will hit theaters on May 19, 2023, with another installment in Universal’s major action saga ending in 2024. We’ll keep you posted here at CinemaBlend as we learn more about the upcoming Fast and Furious sequels.
