Diane Stevens Robinson steps down as CEO of Greater Stark County Urban League

Diane Stevens Robinson, who served as the president and CEO of the Greater Stark County Urban League, has announced her retirement. According to the nonprofit civil rights organization, her last day will be June 30. Since 2018, Stevens Robinson has played a crucial role in the organization and increased the annual budget from $12,000 to $1.5 million.

In her prepared statement, Stevens Robinson expressed her gratitude for the opportunity to serve in her role and to work with a dedicated team that shares her passion for the Greater Stark County Urban League and its community.

During her tenure, she launched a workforce development program, added job navigators, and revived the Black & White Ball. In 2021, she also led the league’s 100th-anniversary celebration and received several accolades, including the National Urban League Leadership Award.

Ralph Lee, the chairman of the Board of Directors, expressed his appreciation for Stevens Robinson’s outstanding service and stated that she had set a high standard for the Greater Stark County Urban League. The search committee faces a difficult task in replacing her.

The Vice Chairman, Kirt Conrad, will lead the search to find the next president and CEO. Information about the position will be available at starkurbanleague.org, and resumes will be accepted until June 9.
