FIFA WORLD CUP: Fans must show covid 19 test report
The authorities are taking all kinds of measures to ensure that there are no errors in the management of the World Cup, which will start soon in Qatar. As part of these measures, football fans coming to watch the World Cup must show their Covid-19 test proof certificate in a statement.
Who needs a covid 19 test?
All fans aged six years and above must submit either a PCR test result two days prior to departure or an antigen test result report taken within 24 hours. These results should be obtained from the concerned government officials.
No further Covid 19 tests are required in Qatar even if symptoms of Covid 19 are not present or have not developed. Those above the age of 18 will have to download the government-run contact tracing Ehteraz phone application.
This Ehteraz status will be required to enter any public indoor space, officials said in a statement. Fans will be required to wear masks in public places but no vaccinations will be required for visitors from November 20 to December.
Anyone who develops symptoms of Covid-19 while in Qatar should remain in isolation as per government guidelines. Reports suggest that the World Cup is likely to see a huge turnout of fans.
Analysts say that fans should also cooperate with the government by observing personal hygiene and Covid-19 rules.
