‘General Hospital’ Actress Jacklyn Zeman Passes Away at Age 70
Screen actor Jacqueline Zeman, who played Barbara “Bobby” Spencer in more than 800 episodes of “General Hospital,” has died. She is 70 years old.
“General Hospital” executive producer Frank Valentini announced Zeman’s death on Twitter Wednesday evening. Currently, no further details are available regarding her death.
Jacklyn Zeman is an American actress who has become a household name thanks to her iconic role as Bobbie Spencer on the hit soap opera, General Hospital. Born on March 6, 1953, in Englewood, New Jersey, Zeman initially had her sights set on becoming a model. However, after graduating from high school, she decided to pursue acting and moved to New York City to attend the American Academy of Dramatic Arts.
Zeman began her career in the entertainment industry by appearing in various television shows and commercials. Her first significant role came in 1977 when she was cast as Bobbie Spencer on General Hospital.
