Media personalities and journalists have paid tribute to legendary TV journalist Barbara Walters after she died at 93 on Friday. In 1976, Walters became the first woman to co-host a national TV network’s evening news program, “ABC Evening News,” a tenure that lasted more than 50 years.
Her career also includes a quarter-century of co-hosting time on ABC News’s “20/20” and NBC’s “Today” shows, including co-founding “The View” in 1997. Walters’ interview list includes Richard Nixon and Michael.
