Mark Sheehan, guitarist of The Script, dies aged of 46

Tributes have been paid to the President of Ireland Mark Sheehan, guitarist with Irish rock band The Script after he died aged 46. Sheehan died on Friday, April 14, after a long illness.

The band said he died at the hospital. An announcement script called him a beloved husband, father, brother, bandmate, and friend.

Formed in 2001 by Doubling Sheehan vocalist Danny O’Donoghue and drummer Glenn Power, The Script’s 2008 self-titled debut album topped the UK and Irish charts.

It included the hits “We Cry,” “Breakeven” and “The. Man Who Can’t Be Moved”, which went on to reach number one in 5 countries. The band’s pop-inflected rock sound made them one of Ireland’s biggest singles of the 2010s.
