A progression of satellite pictures have uncovered how Europe evaporated throughout the long periods of July and August as “the most terrible dry spell in 500 years” hit the landmass.
In a video posted on Twitter by the Copernicus Program of the European Union, which runs the group of stars of Earth-noticing Sentinel satellites, huge areas of Europe should be visible transforming from a rich green to a dry brown between July 1 and August 31.

According to reports, the 2022 drought is the greatest to affect Europe in 500 years. While the abnormally hot and dry weather has substantially raised the risk of forest fires, water levels in rivers like the Rhine, Danube, and Po plunged to such low levels that the waterways had to be closed to traffic.
Most of the land in Noordoostpolder is utilized for farming. The absence of vegetation has made the area become brown, something that should be visible all through the Netherlands. According to Copernicus, the district is having issues creating creature feed and has a deficiency of water assets that are expected by the nearby natural life due to the dry spell and yield disappointments.
