The French team opened this year’s FIFA World Cup. In Group D, France beat Australia and Denmark and lost to Tunisia. As a result, the Knockouts are the toppers in the group with six points. On the other hand, in Group C, Poland’s team finished second with four points. Ousmane Dembele’s pass was turned into a goal by Mbappe. Mbappe scored another goal in second-half stoppage time to give France a 3-0 lead.
But Kamil Grosicki was fouled by France at the end. This gave Poland a penalty kick. After failing to score in the first attempt, the team saved their honor when Robert Lewandowski scored on the next attempt. France won the match by 3-1 and will face England in the quarter-finals.
