Luxury electric vehicle maker Lucid Group on Tuesday unveiled several new versions of its Air sedan. The Lucid Air Pure starts at $87,400, making it the lowest-priced model yet, the company said.
Luxury electric vehicle maker Lucid Group on Tuesday revealed several new versions of its Air sedan — including its lowest-cost model, which CEO Peter Rawlinson said in an interview with CNBC’s Phil LeBeau, the Lucid Air Pure starts at $87,400.
An all-wheel-drive version with a range of 410 miles will ship later this year. And the rear-wheel drive version will arrive in 2023.
The company announced the Lucid Air Touring with a claimed range of 425 miles. Lucid says the Touring is its “most efficient model yet,” capable of 4.6 miles per kilowatt-hour.
The Touring will start at $107,400 and deliveries will follow soon, Lucid said. Lucid says the high-performance Air Sapphire, revealed in August, is now undergoing final tuning.
Currently estimates that the Air Sapphire will accelerate from zero to 60 miles per hour in 1.89 seconds and have a top speed of 205 miles per hour. It is the fastest sedan in the world. The Air Sapphire will start at $249,000 and production will begin in the first half of next year.
