According to The Wall Street Journal, Linda Yaccarino, the head of advertising sales at NBCUniversal, is in discussions to become the next CEO of Twitter, which is now owned by Elon Musk.
Yaccarino, a veteran advertising executive, has been leading NBCU’s advertising business for the past ten years.
She recently interviewed Musk at an advertising event, and NBCUniversal announced a new content deal with Twitter last week that will see the social media platform host 2024 Paris Olympics content, including an exclusive live show.
Musk announced on Thursday that he has hired a new CEO for X/Twitter and will be transitioning to the role of exec chair and CTO. However, he did not reveal the name of the new CEO.
