The Young and the Restless star Eric Braeden has announced his cancer diagnosis
Eric Braeden played the role of Victor Newman in the popular soap opera ‘The Young and the Restless from 1980, appearing in over 3000 episodes. However, the 82-year-old actor had some bad news for fans after revealing his cancer diagnosis in a 13-minute video on Facebook Live on Friday.
Braydon received the news following recent knee replacement surgery. I hate being this person. But I think it’s good for some old people who don’t hear it or can’t hear it, he said. He revealed that high-grade cancer cells were found near his bladder.
Bredon is currently scheduled to undergo six weeks of immunotherapy treatment. Braydon’s body, I’ve learned to listen more to my body. And I’m not going out much. Braedon continued so if you see me in the weather a little bit yeah I’m in I’ll lick it off. I love acting.
I entertain people. I love your support. When someone in your family goes through this, support them. It can work. Nowadays, there is so much progress in cancer treatment that you can survive it.
Braedon’s Acting Career: Braedon was born in Germany, and immigrated to the United States in 1959. He was honored with a Daytime Emmy Award in 1998.
