Diane McBain's career turning point was playing spoiled rich girls as a writer chasing Elvis Presley in a spinout.

McBain died Wednesday morning at Motion Picture & Television Country House and Hospital in Woodland Hills after a battle with liver cancer.

Her friend and writing partner, Michael Gregg Michaud, told The Hollywood Reporter that she died in the morning.
