Elon Musk sold nearly $4 billion worth of Tesla shares

Elon Musk is selling millions of Tesla shares again.

The celebrity executive disposed of 19.5 million shares worth $3.95 billion, according to three filings with the US Securities and Exchange Commission.

But the money is likely to go toward Elon Musk's $44 billion deal to buy the social media platform that went through last month.

At the time it was valued at $8.5 billion, and the shares were selling at around $885.42.
