Ginny Newhart, wife of the great funnyman Bob Newhart, came up with an innovative idea on how to end his Vermont-grounded sitcom by combining it with his former Chicago-grounded show.

She died Sunday at her home in Century City after a long illness, publicist Jerry Digney told The Hollywood Journalist.
