Meta identified malware apps that steal Facebook information.

There are more than 400 malware apps designed to steal users' Facebook login information.

Facebook's parent company Meta said on Friday that those apps were identified this year.

Meta said in a press release that apps in stores are disguised to appear as fun or useful.

After downloading the apps ask them to log into their Facebook account, which allows them to steal the login information.

All detected malware apps have since been removed from the Google Play Store and Apple App Store.

Meta said also it is warning people who may have been unknowingly compromised.
